Teaching and Research Activities
On the morning of 24th November, 2022, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Principal Assistant Chen Peifeng led some head teachers of Grade 7 and Grade 8 and some teachers of the chemistry group to Anqing Greenland Experimental School to jointly carry out the teaching and research activities of the demonstration class of themed class meeting and chemistry seminar class.
To be specific, the second lesson was the demonstration lesson of the class meeting ‘Learning to be Strong in the Face of Setbacks’ taught by teacher Lu Fei, head teacher of Class 707 of Anqing Foreign Language School and the first famous class teacher of Anqing City, who introduced the story of ‘the Donkey at the Bottom of the Well’, so that the students could guess the fate of the donkey and understand that different choices would have different results. Later on, she talked about the confusion of students' letters, the difficulties and setbacks students experienced, and the examples of great people who overcame setbacks to let the students understand in exploring and thinking that setbacks are not terrible. Instead, we should face and overcome setbacks with the spirit of self-improvement and be strong in life!
In the third class, teacher Tang Lingmei from Anqing Greenland Experimental School gave a chemistry seminar on ‘How to correctly Write Chemical Equations’. In class, Tang Lingmei used experiments to arouse students' learning enthusiasm and stimulate their learning interest; Also, she used the students' equation writing errors to guide them to find out the problems and introduce the writing principles. Therefore, the whole class was designed in an orderly way with prominent emphasis, which paid attention to students' learning status. Additionally, modern educational means was used to make classroom teaching more effective.
Last but not the least, the fourth lesson was presided over by Zhu Jun, Principal of Greenland Experimental School, during which the participants gathered in the conference room and talked about their feelings of observing the lessons. Evidently, this joint teaching and research activity has further strengthened the exchanges and cooperation between the two schools, and set up a good platform for teachers of the two schools to conduct in-depth education and teaching research activities, share the results of education and teaching research, and improve the level of education and teaching in the meantime.
